Just for Moms

Creating a Haven of Peace
Joanne Miller
This book is like having a conversation with a seasoned mom around her kitchen table. Listen to her talk about living with an entrepreneurial husband, raising her children to be continual learners in unconventional ways, and making wherever she is a haven of peace.
5 Lies Moms Believe
Kirsten Samuel
After surveying a large group of moms, these were the most common lies or beliefs they mentioned. Learn what the Bible has to say about these lies so you can replace them with truth. This is my short book written to encourage all moms that you are the best mom for your littles.
Welcome Home
Emilie Barnes
This is an older book with lots of tips and tricks for creating a comfortable welcoming home. I’ve read it multiple times when I need to remember to take time to create the home environment I desire. Not everyone will do as the author does. That’s okay. The best part about this book is the philosophy behind it—you create your home to be what you desire it to be.
Voiceless: Spencer’s Story
Angela Dee
What would you do if one day your healthy child suddenly couldn’t communicate with you? Written by my friend, Angela Dee, journey with this mom through the confusion and pain of a sudden debilitating illness that forever changed her child. You have a voice, Mom.
If It’s Not One Thing, It’s Your Mother
Anita Renfroe
A light-hearted look at motherhood from comedienne, Anita Renfroe. You’ll laugh through her stories, and maybe even shed a tear or two. Fun read.
The (in)Complete Life Lesson Checklist
Kirsten Samuel
Most Moms struggle to know when it is appropriate to teach their children certain tasks like make their bed, change their own clothes, help with dishes, or balance a checkbook. That’s why I wrote this ebook, The (in)Complete Life Lesson Checklist, to help address some of these questions.

Empowering You

God Speaks Your Love Language
Gary Chapman
We need to be reminded that God is as close as the breath we take. Dr. Chapman takes you and me on a journey to discover the unrelenting love of God for you and me. As I read through this book, I discovered a new understanding of how God communicates with me daily.
One Thousand Gifts
Ann Voskamp
In her beautiful prose, Ann Voskamp takes us on a journey of discovery to find a gift in each day. Grab a box of tissues, find a comfortable spot, and walk through the lessons in this book. Life-changing, as I learned to see the special gift tucked into each day just for me. Gratitude is a choice we can make each day.
Your Secret Name
Kary Oberbrunner
What are the names you wear? Throughout the years, our names can change. You have a given name. But there are also names that label you. Did you know that God gives you a name? Author Kary Oberbrunner walks you through a process to discover your secret name in this well-written, thoughtful book about identity.
Abba’s Child
Brennan Manning
A thoughtful book for me about identity. Beautifully written. Take your time to savor the concepts in this gentle book
Fearless
Max Lucado
The author asks a great question up front: Can you imagine your life without fear? Each chapter focuses on a specific common fear that plagues us and a Biblical response to that fear. My favorites include: My Child Is in Danger, Caffeinated Life, and Woe, Be Gone. A good read to help you realign your perspective to the God who is completely trustworthy.
Addicted to Busy
Brady Boyd
My biggest takeaway from this book was the fear of FOMO. Written in a conversational style, Brady Boyd confronts the myth that busyness brings worth. That is not the lifestyle God intended for us. This book made me stop and evaluate my lifestyle and remove the word “busy” from my vocabulary.
Surprised by Joy
C.S. Lewis
Anything by C.S. Lewis is a must read as far as I’m concerned. This one is his most autobiographical.
